The former Manchester United boss refused to blame Ten Hag for Rashford's poor run of form this season as the Norwegian claimed that it is up to the player to work on his game and come out of the slump.

Solskjaer said: "I'm not sure it's the manager's job to get the best out of Marcus Rashford. Is it the manager's job to get the best out of him? Or is it mostly himself, or any player's responsibility to get the best out of yourself? That's more important."

The English striker's performance took a huge dive this season after he scored 30 goals across all competitions in the 2022-23 campaign. The 26-year-old has found the back of the net on only five occasions this season and has provided six assists. He recently came in for criticism after being spotted out in Belfast, where he reportedly indulged in a 12-hour tequila bender and subsequently missed training due to illness.
